new version of SU

so i have my EVO rooted and running a stock htc rom that has root but it has the old version of SU on it. anyone know how i can update it to the new SU app? i tried just installing the new SU .apk but all that did was add the new one and leave the old one on here too.

I would recommend the rvu release, its pretty stock , and has the clockwork and su built in.

i could use that one but i just got my build just how i want it. i have everything removed that i didn't want and everything. i was just hoping that i could just update the SU app. is it not possible to do? do you have to put the new version in the ROM when you are creating it?

Download the new SU 2.1 package. Place it in the root of your SD card. Reboot into recovery, and choose the option to flash .zip from SDcard. Select the SU package and you're done.

the one that worked for me was "su-2.1-e-unsecure-signed.zip"
