New VZW G4 Software Update 11/24/15

Definitely running smoother. The glitches in the keyboard when typing seem to be gone, and I agree that the whole experience is smoother. Hopefully battery life improves as well, but we'll have to save that judgement for another day.

Nice to hear that the update is supposedly running smoother than 11, but I think I'm going to hold off a few days at least. It sometimes takes a day or two for bugs to start popping up and I've had a lot of bad luck when it comes to Verizon updates.

Anyone finding any problems with the update? I'm going to hold out and get everyone's opinions before downloading. I'm on 11a and don't want to ruin a good thing.

Just gave in and installed the update, so went from 11a to 13b. Seems fine so far, though I honestly can't tell a difference. Any observations on battery life after the update?

Standby battery life is incredible. Everything else seems the same, which is just fine with me since the phone already performed great to begin with.

My battery life improved after the 12A update for sure. Haven't had this update long enough to notice much, other than I'm getting updates over wifi now, finally.

Can't stop raving about battery life after the update. I've got 88% battery remaining with over 2 hours and 36 minutes of screen time. Yes, I'm using a 6200 mah Mugen extended battery. However, do the math and, even with the stock battery, I'd have about 75% remaining with the same 2:36 SOT. That projects out to over 10 hours SOT even with the stock battery!

I can usually just squeeze 2 days out of a charge (don't use it too much, obviously, and turn it off at night), but probably down to 10% by the end of day two, on average. I just looked, and with 6 1/2 hours of mostly standby, I'm still at 96% :D! Maybe I'll still be at 50% at the end of Day Two ;).

*Update* 10 hours on Standby and still at 93%! SOMETHING got optimized;).

*Update 2.0* I literally have not charged the phone since I installed the 11-24 update, at around 1:00PM. My battery was at 40% when I tuned it on this morning. Yes, it gets light, mostly standby use, but this is very nice.

I switch between a Droid Turbo 2 and an LG G4. To my surprise, I think their battery lives may be about the same.

I just installed it and can't speak so far for any change in battery life, but the responsiveness and notifications seem to be fixed coming off 12A...

One thing I noticed after the update is that the phone never gets hot, or even really warm. The Gsam app has my battery between 82 and 85 degrees, even when browsing the internet. My Turbo 2 typically heats up to the mid 90s when I browse. Not that heating up a little bit is a big deal, but it's still a welcome improvement for the G4.
