New VZW G4 Software Update 11/24/15

Also, VTS for Android is showing NO security vulnerabilities in the wake of the update. On another note, is there a good way to test push notifications on WiFi to check to see if those have been resolved?

Just send an email from a different email address. It worked for me.

One thing I've noticed with mine on 11A is somewhat finicky charging on my third party QC2.0 charger, mostly in requiring the screen to be off to get the faster charge benefits. Sometimes just browsing the net can prevent even enough charge current to maintain the battery. Anyone else with a similar experience notice if that's been changed to remove such aggressive throttling on QC2.0 while the screen is on?

Well I think the phone doesn't get as hot. Maybe they throttled the CPU?

Yup, I uninstalled DNSet then turned on WiFi. Test email sent notifications and so did The Score app soon afterwards. So far, so good with this update.

Also, like others have said, the standby time has greatly increased.

Not sure if this is a serious problem or not, but when running LG Backup after 13B, responsiveness from the power/lock button is extremely sluggish; I was concerned my phone was bricked for about a minute when it wouldn't respond. The Backup I ran today also seemed to take longer than with the past software builds. Everything seems fine after it finished the backup, but this process just seem abnormal.

Just updated and already noticed one thing I'm not happy with. The stock email app was changed so that it removed the check boxes next to the emails. Now to delete several at once, you have to long press an email to get the check boxes to show. Then you can select multiples to delete or whatever. It's a minor issue, but it added an extra step and time to do a batch operation, which I use often.

This was a positive change to me. I really like being able to swipe to delete. I hated the check boxes. I guess it's what you are used to.

Actually, you could swipe to delete before the update too. I found that out by mistake.

That happened in the previous update. Press and hold an email, and you'll get the option to select multiple messages to delete.

Then something was different about my original one. I never had to long press or even use the menu option to bring up the check boxes. They were always there by default.

Working great for me now. Battery life has been exceptionally good since the update. Finished a 12 hour shift with 82% left. Usually at around 40 to 50%. Not a lot of screen time for me but a lot of texting and calls in a hospital notorious for being a phone signal black hole.
Now that the phone has had a few days to settle in, I think this was a very good update. Now, bring on Marshmallow.

Really hated having to wipe my phone and flash back to stock 11A to take the OTA, but it was so worth it. This update totally fixes my touch screen issues. I can now place all 10 fingers on the screen without it freaking out, my missed taps seem to be gone, and my double-tap to unlock works so much more reliably. Definitely more comparable to my old S4.

Battery and everything else seems to be about the same... there's less scroll stuttering but I feel like that was a part of the missed-tap issue.

It must have been the 12A update that took away the ability to simply check the boxes, replacing it with the hold requirement.

I think my battery life was a little better with 12A... possibly, because nothing was coming through due to the IPv6 issue. Haha.

No problems with the update here. Battery life does seem to be better, which is good because I was a little disappointed when I first got the phone.

Loving this phone now after the update. Big improvement to all my issues with it
