New VZW NOTE 2 ...Odin must hate me from my fascinate days

I just bought my note 18 hours ago and the first thing I want to do is root and unlock to get my usual dosage of AOKP... But any method I try won't let me get past Odin for some reason. I'm desperate abs I can't find a fix for myself. .Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, I'm completely stock. and I've tried 2 options. 1st (How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 2 [ALL VARIANTS] - YouTube and These steps and files [Galaxy Note2 TOOLKIT V3.0.0 SPRINT] Drivers, Backup, Root, CWM, TWRP, Flash to Stock - xda-developers) 2nd is this process ([GUIDE][VZW Edition]How to Root/Rom/Return to Stock the VZW Galaxy Note II! - xda-developers)
In option one when I get to Odin it just fails the proces once it starts to write the NAND something. with option 2 the files downloaded isnt a .tar or .jar or anyting its a .7z and I cant open it in Odin.

I tried this method (How to Root Verizon Galaxy Note 2 SCH-i605! - YouTube) i have root now.. but i want to unlock the bootloader and install clockwork mod.... can i use the same toolkit for installing those?

yes you can unlock it using the link i gave you, it will automatically give you twrp dont bother installing clockwork

Well you didnt brick it? what did you do try to load clockwork without unlocking?

The pones doesnt turn on it just says that there was an error with the firmware update connect to kies to fix. im looking for the stock firmware to flash in odin.. but to no avail

This could be a result of flashing firmware not intended for the Verizon variant of the note 2

Try this and let me know if you still have problems we will try an alternative method.

Ive been ll over XDA and i think ive found this alternate metod as well... Odin fails at the sboot.bin part so im hopeing this works.. i think its the same as this 1 since they said on that thread that il have to extract it as well and once i do it will be a tar.md5 file thanks for all the help

im using the casual method to re-root..but once i get to the driver section...i cant find the samsung driver, found a quick fix (choosing the gadget driver works) im rooted in TWRP and making a nandroid backup now... thanks for all the help youve been a life saver

I'm having some trouble with this new rom , is only displaying 3g connection no 4g for some reason. I have jelly beans build 12, jellybeans kernel and the I605VRALL4 modem. I dint even know what the modern is abs I don't know if it is the latest. What about next time I want to flash another rom ?
