New "x" on text mess

I noticed today that on on friend when I first open the text message app that above the time of text there is a white circle w a small x in it. Any ideas what it means? Only does it on this one person. Marked as favorite.. stock text app that comes w phone..

Ill try. To explain it better.. it is where the number of unread posts above the time usually is. Like its just not reading the number of unread posts for this person. And yes its the stock app. I havent mod my phone in any way. Its no big deal just curious

I think it's because they do not have a Google Talk account, or they are not signed in to Google Talk.

I see the same thing on my boyfriends thread in text messaging. .I just uploaded a pic. It is intermittent, and he doesn't use Google services, that I know of. He hates Google. I heard it has something to do with Tango. . But I tried to send a request from Tango and nothing showed. I asked about this at XDA and no one there had an answer. . I emailed Tango support, but no response yet. :-!
