Hello-

I have a new U.S. WiFi Xoom, but it came out of the box with Android 3.0.1. I know that recently 3.2 came out, and I'm pretty sure it is available to me. It is NOT rooted.

When I go through the settings to try to update it to 3.2, I get a message that basically says that there are no updates, hit OK, and that's it. So it seems like I am unable to update it through the Xoom settings menu.

So if I want to update my 3.0.1 to 3.2, what should I do?

Thanks!

If it says there are no updates then there are no updates. I got pushed 2 updates with in the first hour i got my xoom, but i did not get them till i set up my gmail account.
Running 3.2
Build HTJ85B

If I am running 3.0.1 and 3.1 and 3.2 are out there, then aren't there updates available despite the fact it is telling me otherwise?

I had an existing gmail account when I got the Xoom and signed up with that.

I guess you could manually update like a phone. Find the zip file load it on your tablet reboot in recovery mode then manually install the update. Might check the Roms and hacks forum for exact steps.

Thanks. I was hoping for a simpler solution, but will give that a try if nothing else works.

To update this in case anyone had the same problem as I had.......

The reason why my Xoom wouldn't update was because I had unwittingly bought a "Canadian" Xoom which is different from the US Xoom, or at least Android-wise. Motorola wasn't updating the Canadian Xooms for some reason but it was the US Xooms. So when I tried to manually update, whatever it connects to saw "Canadian" Xoom and wouldn't let me update beyond 3.0.1. I had to manually flash the Xoom to the US version, and then it would update.
