Newb question re: keyboard dock

Is it safe to dock/undock the Prime while it is powered on? I just got the dock yesterday and haven't been able to find anything in the docs that says one way or the other. I know most laptops can be undocked while on, and I'd assume that a Prime would be the same, but I wouldn't want to fry it by makng assumptions.
