I really liked my windows phone but all my Company would buy me is the s4. I do love to tinker with things so I feel the android will offer many new and exciting apps to consider. I am looking forward to seeing how the driod s4 can interact with my windows based HTPC.
also
I am looking for a "How to guide" in referece to adding .com email account to phone ,,,, I have a gmail account but I don't really use it.

Also how can I sync or add songs on my server to the phone to play as a standard "MP3 player" ?

Hello,

Look on the bright side, your expanding your horizons by trying a different platform out.

Next you will need the GMAIL account. All the major parts of your Android device " sync " with your GMAIL account that was setup. Contacts, Phone, Calendar, Cloud services and much more.

You should be able to add most email accounts using the stock " EMAIL " app under your app drawer. If that doesn't work for you then there is various 3rd party apps available for free to use that make life easier adding different email accounts and accessing them all in one place. One I can recommend which many use is K 9 email.
