I've gone big with Google Chrome, Drive,Play, etc and looking for a "Cloud" on my new S5. Any advise out there

A place to back up my entire S5 phone including music, contact, photos, etc. I came from iphone cloud world

I should have mentioned I'm with Verizon but it appears the installed app doesn't back up all my apps on Google

At the moment you can back up your music to Google play music (there are probably other apps in the play store). Contacts can be backed up to your Samsung account or Google account. Photos can be backed up to Google + as well as other cloud based storage sites like drop box. Messages, wallpapers and notes can be backed up to your Samsung account.

You can also download third party apps like titanium and my back up pro which will back up your device. Some of the third party apps require you to root your phone.

So in terms of stock cloud back up you can back up everything to either your Samsung account or Google based solutions, except your app data.

To back up app data you will need to use third party apps.

However this is set to change with Android L, which will allow you to back up your entire device akin to what you can do with the iPhone.
