Newbie Root question!!!!

Ok I just got a note 3 and was considering root and safetrap recovery.

My question is, if I root and want to go back to stock can I use odin to flash this file N900AUCUBMI9_N900AATTBMI9_ATT.zip and then take the OTA update to get back ti 4.4.2?

Currently On 4.4.2

There's a 4.4.2 procedure on XDA, in the AT&T Note 3 section. It brings the phone back to MI9, and it almost immediately wants to update to NB4. Then it'll keep bothering you to update to 4.4.2 (as you know if you're still on 4.3). It's more than just one file - you need to do about 9 steps (the last one is rooting, which you don't want to do.)

I just got a note 3 in 4.4.2 and rooted with towel root. Left off safestrap this time as could not find tech help when using it on my s4. Towelroot is toooooo easy.

No, and once you use the safestrap method, its really difficult to go back to stock. But who would want to anyway? Just make sure you have a spare phone lying around you can use in case you goof up in the learning process. So far, in 5 years, I've only made one expensive paperweight. Lol
