Newbie Tmobile My Touch 4G

I've had the My Touch 4G for a few months now, and now I'm finally messing around with it, thanks to a good friend, He helped me get launcher pro on it. One issue is that I don't see the little red dot notification on the screen when I get messages. But loving it so far and looking forward to learning from everyone in here on the different little widgets and and whistles this phone can do
