AC Question

Hi there,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini and my keyboard recently changed suddenly. It didn't remember my used words anymore and I discovered I had an old version back. The one I had before (the newer one) had the numbers above the QWERTY keyboard. Now I have an old version, which doesn't remember my words (and their order) anymore, even if I already used some a lot.

In my settings, I only have one keyboard and it's the standard one it says. Can anyone help me? I want the new version back like I had before.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Any recent system updates?

Yes, but I got the problem before the system update. I was hoping the update would return the keyboard back to the way it was (latest keyboard in the latest update I thought).

Do you know any other options?

Just to be sure -- this is the Samsung stock keyboard app, right?

I hope you can see the image above, because I don't know the name of the keyboard. This is the one I used to have (the newest one that I want back again).

The screenshot below is the keyboard I had in the past, but came back a few weeks ago (the one I don't want).

I wish I had the phone in front of me to look around the settings, since each keyboard app is different. If you go to Settings>Language & Input and tap the gear icon next to the keyboard, you don't see any options there for the number row?

I thought I had the same standard Samsung keyboard like everyone else. My boyfriend for example still has the newest keyboard with the number row in it and he has the same smartphone as I do.
No, unfortunately not. Do you know something that I can do about it?

If you have the Galaxy Apps Store installed, open it and see if you can find Samsung Keyboard there.

I can't find it in my apps. I also searched for Samsung keyboard, but there is not a official one I guess.
