Newest Verizon update for Galaxy S4

Well so far my texting at home in sketchy coverage is working better. Everything is good. I almost didn't want to say anything about it bc now it's sure to start messing up lol.

I'm getting random freezing up when unlocking the phone, then it comes out of it. Haven't noticed any restarts yet.

I too am getting the random freezing up when unlocking. Phone will allow you to swipe to unlock but then will not respond when tapping an icon such as messages. You either have to re-lock and unlock or hold the home button and close all running apps. Happens almost every time I unlock. Tried everything short of a wipe.

Yup, same here.............I can tell it's messed up when the time in the weather is different from the time in the top bar.

Hopefully they are working on a fix................or maybe 4.4.4 will be the answer.

Suffering from all the aliments, freeze-ups after security code, random reboots (even during calls). I should have known to hold off on the upgrade.

Anyone contact Verizon and give them an earful?

Is it possible to hold off on installing this update? Does it get pushed through as a notification automatically or do you have to go to settings & "check for updates" to get it. I'm talking about a phone that is NOT rooted.

If you go into Settings and check for updates, the update's availability should be detected. Then you should get a pop-up box that allows you to choose if/when you want to update.

Did the update 3 days ago.. knock wood.. so far no issues and nothing noticeable has changed.

Having issues with it switching from 3g back to 4g. Staying stuck in 3g unless I manually switch it

Installed update Saturday morning, all is fine. Only change I have noticed so far is the GPS icon is different.

Loaded 2 days ago. No obvious feature updates, I guess just bug fixes. No freezes or reboots as reported, However, even after 2 battery pulls, Getting the cooling down icon every couple of hours, heating up quite a bit and battery life has been cut roughly in half.
Hopefully will break in and get better. I absolutely have doing a hard reset and having to set my phone up all over again. Very frustrating

I have Beautiful Widgets and since the update, it can't get weather for my current location anymore, even with location and wifi enabled. How do i get this back?
