Android Central Question

Hello, I've ordered on 30th July this year a ZTE phone online. when it came I immediately booted it up, played a bit, but I felt a high amount of heat coming from the back of the phone. I Installed benchmark to see it's temperature and it showing that my battery was at 40-42° almost constantly, even when watching videos with a 720p 60p resolution. I've noticed that it does heat up way faster than my last phone, (which was a Huawei Y5 2017 that had a Quad-Core 1.3Ghz CPU) although the battery was draining at normal rates. I tried several apps to cool the battery down, chose different performance plans from settings but almost nothing changed it's heating rate. Can anybody help me figure out how to make it heat up slower?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you start doing all of this activity immediately after starting up? The first day of phone use is often pretty CPU intensive, because you're installing new apps, syncing a bunch of data, probably installing a system update or two, etc. All of that can generate heat, so if you were also trying to do something else while this was all occurring, that can add to the heat.

I don't think those temps are that unusual when the phone is working hard. Now that the phone isn't completely brand new (i.e., it is done installing updates), does it still get that hot?
