Newton (Cloudmagic) emails won't load until app is launched + refresh

Hi,

I've been experiencing this for a while and i thought perhaps it will get fixed with a Nougat update but still the same.

Newton (previously Cloudmagic) is a really powerful email client but in the past weeks, i'm not receiving emails unless i open the app and refresh like 3-4 times!

Storage is not a problem as i got like 5GB left on the device and 30GB on my SD card.

Tried several resets, uninstalled/re-installed the app with no luck.

Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Any power-saving modes turned on? Is Restrict Background Data turned on for that app in Settings>Data Usage​?

Apologies for the late reply. No power saving modes are on or even data restriction on background use for this app. V weird..
