What do you all think the next Evo will be like?

i cant even wrap my mind around the next evo yet.... i know i might be in the minority on the 3vo forums but this is my first evo or htc phone (after being loyal to samsung for years (i have no idea why)) and im in love with this thing

Oh? That will disable 3D thingy (I hope!), kill battery in a few minutes, extreme overheat, prepare downgrade to low MP camera (picture and video), and even low voice calling. Those are reasons due to 2Ghz Quad Core CPU and 4 GB RAM. That should be "Mini Laptop" instead of smartphone.

It's always interesting to speculate...

1.5+ ghz quad core or 2.x ghz dual core
1.5gb of ram, maybe 2gb if there's a quad core processor
720p 4.3" 3-D screen, with improved viewing angles and more sweet spots
4gb internal storage with 8gb microSD included
3-D capable, with dual 8mp cameras, 1080p video recording
Possibly 3-D and non 3-D versions eventually
Sense 4.0 designed to capitalize on 3-D and designed to be less taxing to run

And there you have it. Although admittedly, it seems like HTC really likes to push the boundaries with their EVO line, so who knows.

Lol calm down I was just kidding, but imagine if all that was powered by a 20,000 MAH battery and everything would be so compact and small it wouldn't be bigger than the evo right now.

Nah, that would mean that it would basically be the same phone except they replaced the 3D capabilities with a better 2D picture/video taking experience with the 1080p capable 8MP camera. The EVO+ looks like just another variation of the same phone, unless I'm missing something. The next EVO will probably be a quad core with specs some other posters have already speculated on. It should be as big a jump, tech wise, as the Evo 3D was from the Evo 4G.

Pretty late with THAT news and for a device bound for the Korean market it isn't THE next Evo.

I really don't want a user interface in 3d it will be horrible. 3d should be limited to media only. However I would love sense 4.0

I don't know how mainstream quad cores will be in a year. I would be plenty satisfied with dual core new architecture at 32nm and at 2.0 ghz.

All of what I just mentioned is either currently available or is possible. I don't see why a manufacturer doesn't just put out a phone of phones like this. I'd gladely pay 300 after rebate for something like that. And Id finally be satisfied for 2 years on contract.
