Next gen phones on Sprint

I'm due for a new phone. My EVO has done me well, but it's past it's prime. I want to stick with Sprint and HTC, but I haven't heard anything about them releasing a new flagship phone. I would think that now that ICS is out, and NFC is in the works new phones would be releasing soon, but when is the question. Have any of you heard anything?

There is supposed to be a monster phone annoynced early next month at CES, for Sprint.

Made by Samsung, with Intel processor, their brand new "Medfeild" said to be the smoothest and fastest chip ever for Android. Plus it will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream. It will be a "Galaxy" branded device, and go on sale in March.

That sounds pretty good. Samsung is my 2nd choice of brand. HTC edges them just a little because they're faster at sending out updates. I have a friend with the Epic and he just got 2.3 a couple weeks ago.

CES is going to have the Galaxy S3 in March is what I've read. It will be the first phone to have over 1 gig of RAM!!! 1.5 maybe even 2!! Also a 12MP camera!!! "HD" super Amoled plus display!! It's gonna be a beast!! I have the GS2 /E4GT now... The GS3 will definitely be my next device!!! ;-) And everyone complains about speed on Sprint... Ever since the los update I've been getting faster speeds.. 9-16mpbs on 4G! Last 4 days or so I've been getting 13-16mbps!! They must really be tuning it up. Been a few upgrades in my area... But daaammnn!

I'm in the same boat. I'm an Evo owner and I'm looking for the next big thing coming from Sprint. However, unless it has an LTE radio I'll continue to wait.

2 years is too long to be stuck without Sprint LTE.

Hold up! So are you saying the GS3 is being released in March in the states? I find that hard to believe. They usually announce those in WMC.

Very unlikely that the GS3 reaches the United States until the Summer. It could be released in Korea in March.

Unsure what will be out for sprint nect but, the next few big things would be LTE, quad-core cpu's, and ICS phones. HTC like any of the others is always making a new android phone so I'm sure it won't be long before they have something new you can upgrade too.

I'd freaking blow a gasket if a sprint Galaxy Nexus came with LTE, assuming it's coming the first half of next year. There isn't WiMax in San Diego.

Galaxy Nexus and Nexus Plus? So you're saying Sprint is getting two nexus devices? Viper? Where did you get this info from. I would like to know.

So based on the link above, this is mostly correct. Q3 or Q4 is when the first Sprint LTE devices are expected. That's a looong wait.

The SGSIII will probably be 6 months late to US Carriers like the SGSII was late to the US. Releasing it in March seems like a reach. The CES is next week, then MWC next month, so after the CTIA in May, the whole 2012 Sprint lineup should be known and important decisions can be made.

I am looking forward to the SGSIII and HTC Zeta though
