Next Note 2 update may block root and bootloader unlocking

If you're gonna root, I'd do it soon. The last OTA for the S4 locked the phone up super tight, to the point where over at XDA they're offering $4000 to any developer who can crack it. So far, no one has been able to do it, and the developers aren't sure if they're ever going to be able to do it (last I heard anyway). Samsung is putting a ton of emphasis on their new SAFE technology so that they can sell their devices to the government, so I would bet that the next OTA that hits the Note 2 is going to lock everything down just like the S4. I'd root now if you're going to do it, and then wait for the devs to come out with ROMs based on 4.3.

Thankfully I have never had interest in rooting my phone but a potentially important FYI from you to the many who do.

just an update, just keep the words "may" in mind. ive just been told the devs feel they are getting closer, and a couple people have rescinded their offers and the offer is down to $3800
