Nexus 10 dead? Battery issue?

So today I was charging my N10 from completely dead. I turned it on during the charge to check my email and everything was fine. After about an hour of letting it charge, I came back to see the progress and it went from 24% to 23%, so I let it charge longer thinking maybe the charger got knocked loose. I came back about 2 hours later and was still sitting at 23%, so I took it off the charger. The battery then proceeded to drop from 23% to dead in the matter of minutes while not doing anything on my N10. I plugged it back in only for it to turn on, say "charging, 0%" for the next 30 minutes, so I rebooted it, turned it back off, then let it charge again, to no avail. I turned it back on so I could use it for a while to Skype my family as it was my only means at the time, then, it shut off without warning. Now when I try to charge it, it shows the first charge screen with the full battery and a lightning bolt through it, then just goes to a black screen. I've tried everything I can think of, different chargers, cables, outlets, holding the power button, power button with the volume buttons held down; and it always goes back to just a black screen. The only time it shows anything different is when I hold the power button down, then it just goes back to the full battery with a lightning bolt then back to a black screen. Any thoughts would be much appreciated and any help would be even better. Thanks for your time and much appreciation.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I'm on a nexus 10 about two weeks old. The other day I was using it and the battery started getting low so I plugged it in. Two things I noticed right away, one: the percentage did not go up, and two: the back of the device got super hot. I tried to figure out the reason for a while, and then I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and the case got cold and it started charging again. Do you think it's possible you had the same issue, but you didn't know it was getting hot? Just a though.

Mine is doing the same thing. It won't hold a charge at all. As soon as I unplug it it dies and then goes into a boot loop. Im returning it for a replacement.

update: Ordered replacement. Google play support were very cool and fast. Hopefully the new one won't be messed up.

@ rrand, even after letting it sit, it is still doing the same thing several days later.

I am going to try to contact support and see if I can get a replacement. Just didn't want to, since I can't pull the data off of it.
