Nexus 10 for Teachers

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had any input on the usefulness of the Nexus 10 to a teacher. I was hoping for a tablet that I can use to display annotated PDFs and other notes on a digital projector (to write over textbook and other PDFs and to use as a general whiteboard replacement). I know Windows 8 Tablets can do this, but the Windows 8 app selection is absolutely terrible and the tablets themselves are easily twice the cost for the non-RT version. Would the Nexus 10 (and which apps specifically) be able to meet my needs? I am really intrigued by the amount of educational apps I see in the Play store, but it was difficult to wade through so many and filter out what I am looking for.

Edit: forgot to also mention that I was wondering if there is a stylus that is more precise than others as to minimize the fingerpainting look and to more naturally resemble the pen?

I would highly recommend the Galaxy Note 10.1 for this type of situation, because they include a digitizer in the screen for very accurate stylus support, as well as Samsung's S Pen functionality. In addition, the software that Samsung includes in their 'TouchWiz' overlay on top of Android would likely be beneficial to you. This includes the Multi Window, Air View, and Easy Clip features, among others.

Definitely take a look around the 'Benefits' page; it looked to me like almost everything there would have some benefit in an educational scenario. You should be able to purchase an adapter that will allow you to use HDMI-out functionality through Samsung's proprietary charging/data port.

I agree, when it comes to anything to do with work or school the Note 10.1 is definitely the best tablet

I am among the first to praise the N10 as a personal tablet, but If your primary use involves wrting on the screen then a Note 10.1 is the way to go!
