Hi Everyone,

I'm having problems with audio while using the hdmi connection to my TV. The sound keeps on dropping out every few seconds when I'm playing a movie through VUDU and Flixster. Is this a copy protection thing? Audio works fine when I'm playing a movie from Google Play (such as the free Ice Age movie we we're given). I'm also have the same problem when I play my own home videos on the device. The sound works fine on the Nexus 10 unit itself, but when I plug in the hdmi cable, the sound keeps on dropping out every few seconds on the TV.

I've done some reading about this issue from other posts, but I'm specfically wondering if anyone has tried to play their digital movies through services like Flixster or VUDU and encountered any audio problems when using the hdmi out. I'll be ordering another micro hdmi cable to see if that's the problem. I called Google and they offered to replace the unit for me. I told them that I'll wait until I test the unit with another cable.

So is anyone else experiencing a similar audio problem?

Thanks

Hi dorkhead02,

I saw your posting about the Audio keep dropping off.
I just got my N10 2days ago and I face the same issue as you indicated.
I connected to my Samsung LED TV , then play video in YouTube. Facing the Audio dropping off problem too. Video no problem.

So wondering have you find out what is the cause of this problem and solution to it?
Thanks.

Hi Bchue,

I have not found a solution for the audio problem. Google even sent me another Nexus 10 tablet to see if the issue was related to the hardware of the first tablet. It seems to be a problem with all Nexus 10 tablets. I'm hoping a future update to the Android OS will solve this problem. Until then, I'm just living with it. Sucks!

Hi dorkhead02

I see. Thanks for the reply.
I have found many similar HDMI Audio problem which people face in this forum. It may also related to type of TV.
Ya , guess Google need to resolve this problem and hopefully soon.
Thanks.

I opened up Vudu and played back some movies, no issues with audio here via HDMI.
