Hi, I just changed the battery in my nexus 10 and it's all put back together again. I powered it up, no problem, everything is up on the screen, however it won't respond to touch. I can't swipe, or use an app, nothing.
Please help

I would suggest checking all your connections to make sure everything was re-connected properly. If everything seems OK, then perhaps there was damage to the display during the battery change. By chance did you factory reset through recovery? If not, give that a try as well.

well, I just unscrewed the back again and rechecked the connections and they're fine. Also, when I power down to shut it off, it won't shut off completely, it comes back on immediately.

How would I do factory reset? The only thing I can do is press the Power button and that doesn't work like it should. Can you let me know how to factory reset please? Also, would that mean I lose all my stuff?
Thanks for the quick response

EDit: I pressed the power button down for a while, then when I let it go, it has a 'Android is starting...Optimizing app (and a countdown) of 122
it's done that twice after I've pressed down the power button for a good while, but the screen still remains unresponsive.

The ribbon on the left must go over the two side pins and line up with the white line. I needed to tape the ribbon to the battery to help line it up

I have the exact same problem. Could you please say more about how you solved it? What ribbon are you talking about?
I would be interested in pictures also. Anything you could share would be appreciated.

I had the same problem - the screen is not responsive after I replaced the new battery. Thanks to Waynet321's post below, which solved my problem. Here is my notes: "you need to insert the ribbon cable and make sure the white line mark on the ribbon cable is aligned with the gold line mark on the connector". My problem was the leftmost side of the ribbon cable(also the widest one) missed the alignment. After I aligned it the screen is back to normal.

Welcome to Android Central! This is a pretty old thread. Are you actually talking about a Nexus 10?
