Nexus 10 users, do you regret your purchase? The good and the bad.

wouldn't buy again...... photos aren't sharp enough....... screen isn't as responsive as should be... there is a utube video that really illustrates this..... it's totally ridiculous..... bunch of other oddities too numerous to list..
That's pretty vague. Also, even if these are true it might have been defective, did you try and get it replaced?

Mine has been good for the most part but there are issues playing and streaming music that I didn't have with the iPad.

First of all, I can't prevent the tablet from going into sleep mode while playing music on Google Play Music and once it goes to sleep, the music stops. The maximum sleep setting is 30 minutes so that's the longest amount of time you can listen to music continuously.

Secondly, my relatively brand new receiver doesn't recognize the Nexus 10 through its USB port so I have to use an HDMI port which has less functionality.

These are big issues if you want to use your tablet for music.

Sure I have some minor issues, what piece of technology doesn't? I would definitely buy again though. I can't put it down.

its weird that the YouTube app stops streaming and it just says buffering but it doesn't buffer at all.

This might be a YouTube problem rather than an N10 problem. From time to time, YT has problems serving videos. I've noticed it a lot in the past six months. I don't mean here and there, but rather for days or weeks at a time. Videos stop a few seconds or minutes in and either take forever to resume or have to be reloaded.

I know it's not a connectivity problem on my end because I have 25-28 Mbps down. When it occurs, I'll have the same experience on multiple devices, including an iMac, an iPad and a MacBook Air. Other people have reported the same thing on multiple ISPs and devices. My guess is that YT is having capacity issues that it resolves for a time before getting overwhelmed again.

YouTube's app has also been spotty at best when it comes to the videos.

Hmm, that's strange. Though i have a fast internet connection so that's probably why i haven't had any issues.

Your broadband connection isn't the choke point. The culprit is capacity in the YouTube data centers, capacity coming out of those DCs, peering or a combination of those.

I definitely regret buying this device. Its way too buggy and it isn't stable. I can almost guarantee that it will crash at least once per day.

Well either way, Youtube has bern very fast for me.

Hello all, first post.

Had my Nexus 10 for about 2 months so far and I absolutely love it. Originally got it because I wanted a mobile school device; take notes, download and read books, etc (a bit overkill but the selfish part of me wanted the best there was at the time). About a week or so later, my 9 year old laptop officially died, so this has basically become our laptop. We got a wireless keyboard and mouse, and it works just great, I just have to get used to it not being a Windows OS (no right click is the biggest one). There are a few glitches I've ran into, but I've had more issues with my in-laws tablet in the limited number of hours I've used it compared to the 2 months I've had this.

The one issue I've had (that I am going to make a whole new thread about and the reason I came here) is that for some games I can't just tap "buttons" for them to work, I have to hold them for a second. After reading a bunch of reviews of the nexus 10 and many of them mentioning Asphalt 7, I decided to download it, but this game does it.

I don't regret at all. Had a few problems to begin with - it seized up a few times in the first week. That was a chrome thing though, an update to chrome and getting into the habit of powering down at night sorted that out. I've not had a problem since :) There's no flash, but there is a work around. I was easily able to add it as a plug-in following some steps on this forum (and although I love technology, I always need a dummies guide!). The only thing i will say is that there seems to be a problem connecting it to some Panasonic TV's. Not sure if this has been resolved now, as I've yet to look it up. I could get a picture OK, but no sound. It was no problem for me as I treated myself to one of those gorgeous portable, wireless Cambridge Minx speakers which produces a better sound than my TV! Like I said, it may not even be an issue you now.

With noting that if you buy from Google play, you get a cooling off period to have a play before making your decision to keep it. Also worth noting, that i received the best customer service i've EVER had from Google, via a free phone number which connects to the customer service centre in america.

In all, I'd totally recommend the nexus 10. I spent a ridiculous amount of time weighing up potential alternatives and really glad I went for this.

The only regret I have, such as it is, is the light bleed in the bottom right corner. I've decided to live with it, but it still is a thorn in the OCD corner of my mind. Other than that, however, no regrets.

That's not been my experience at all. My N10 is rock steady and smooth as butter. I think it hot booted once. I suspect it has a lot to do with the apps one is attempting to run.

I am very pleased with my purchase (especially since I got it for 25% off MSRP.)
