nexus 2015 ... nexus 6 or wait?

I just ordered mine from Amazon Spain for 459. I'm very excited to play with it. I want to return my note 4. What a laggy device samsung created... What a shame... Oh well... Let's see how the nexus 6 holds up these days to test it.

Sold my note 4 last Saturday. I'm very happy with nexus 6 and will most likely never ever go back to none vanilla android.

nope. argumentum ad absurdum.

WHEN you know that the new Nexus is coming out in a few months and you don't absolutely need a phone this very moment and can hang on a little while longer it's always wise and prudent to wait a little bit for the new model that you know will have better hardware and you know when it will be released.

Your opinion, not fact. What's best for some to do, is not best for everyone oh wise one.

Let us know how you like it.

Just buy one now if you want to upgrade. If the new nexus will tempt you once it's out, you can always resell and get the new one. There is the possibility that you won't even like the new nexus and that you've waited for a device which is not to your liking.

One thing that would have me hesitate this generation is that the chips kind of stink. The Snapdragon 805 in the Nexus 6 is a better performer than the 810 and 808... They have to throttle the 810 rather harshly to keep it from overheating. (Even the updated 810 has those issues)

Yes, I know some rumors say the next Nexus will have the 820... Which would be all well and good, except that chip is not expected until early 2016, well after the November launch that Google typically uses for both Android and Nexus.

So I'm a little skeptical about the upcoming round of phones. Whatever OEMs are involved would need a technological mic drop to get my attention. My JUMP count resets in one month, and I'm not sure I'll need to burn one to replace my Nexus 6 with its upcoming replacement.

That is what I was planning on doing with the HTC One lineup and from the M8 to the M9 felt stagnant, so I went with the Nexus 6. While the M8/9 look beautiful, after a year of use, I like Motorola's build quality and design and prefer that to LG's nexus.

I've never owned a phone I felt like I would stick with for more than a year. Since owning a nexus 6 that has changed. This thing is a beast. I won't be upgrading for a while.

I'll be upgrading to the next Moto X or Nexus. I want a smaller device. While the 6 is awesome and I love it, I'll admit it is sometimes a pain to try to do anything one handed on it for me. But after trying skinned phones after almost a year on the Nexus 5, I don't think I could use anything other than stock Android. I get so annoyed with the skins, even if they do offer some things over stock, they always seem to lag in one way or another.

If they bring an SD slot I might consider upgrading, but usually try and stay a year behind technology.

When in doubt test it out. I'd go to your carriers store to play with it. Realistically speaking that's going to be your best bet. I thought std a Nexus 6 at my Verizon store and found it fast and responsive. So I went for it.

I've heard there are going to be two Nexus phones this year; one by LG and one by Huawei. If I remember correctly, LG would be making a 5.2" phone (which will probably be similar in hardware to the G4) while Huawei puts out a 5.7" phone (probably similar in hardware to the Ascend Mate line).
The LG Nexus will probably be too small if you're wanting a bigger phone, and as you already said Huawei is out of the question.
Meanwhile, the Moto X 2015 will probably keep the customizability that Motorola has with the last two generations, with much newer hardware. This will probably be released in the next 3-4 months.
If you want a larger screen, pick Nexus 6.
If you want newer hardware, wait for Moto X 2015.
