Nexus 4 failing to update to 4.3 (extreme noob here)

You downloaded the update separately using a pc? You sure no other system files have not been changed?

I downloaded straight to phone and then to a PC and transferred it. Neither worked. Nothing has been changed as far as I know except that I have CWM.

I followed Rizy7's instructions, using the link from Nexus4Root, and it worked! It wasn't even that hard! Thank you everyone for your help - I couldn't have done it without you!

Okay now I have one more minor problem - even though I clearly have 4.3, my phone keeps saying that it's downloaded 4.3 and prompting me to install it. Any idea how to turn this off? Thanks in advance!

I suppose at this point, if the problem persists and nobody offers a suggestion, you could always just do a 'Factory data reset' in the settings under Backup & reset. I think now that you've updated to 4.3 a Factory data reset erases erases everything and restores it to 4.3. (Somebody please correct if this is wrong or a bad idea).
