Nexus 4 has required fastboot 3 times since 5.01 upgrade yesterday.

My N4 seems to be working smoothly under Android 5.01 (and apps seem to launch quicker than under 5.0). But. 3 times now when I've gone to turn it on, it's been dead. Had to hold volume down and power to get to fastboot to restart it.

Anybody else finding this? Have a fix?

Just happened again. This time, the notification light was flashing, so I guess the OS wasn't completely crashed. The screen just wouldn't come on...

Have you since gotten it booted? If so, and the problem persists, I'd suggest a cache wipe. Do this in recovery.

If still no improvement, then take the time to factory reset (backup your data beforehand) and let us know how that goes.

I think this has happened twice to me as well since the update. It's weird! A phone reboot is more acceptable than it dying in my pocket with no sign that I'm not getting calls or notifications
