Nexus 4 LG Dialer severe problem: Turns off the phone after dialing.
I seems like a hardware problem since I tried different dialers an it does not help.
As long as the phone line is active there is no way to interact with the phone.
I can only end the call from the start button (which I had to enable it "to end phone calls").
When the call is ended by the other side the phone return to dialer state.
I don't experience this problem with any other devices and not with SMS, bluetooth or wifi.
Can anyone help? Do I have to go for service lab? (I hate the tought of it).
Regards,

I haven't had any trouble with mine. If I am on a call I can press home and go anywhere I like on the phone without losing my phone call connection.

Sounds like you have a screen protector on that is screwing with the proximity sensor. I had to remove mine as well or had the same issue.

From your reply I understand that I did not mention that the phone worked just fine. It is only lately and suddenly that I started to have the problem. Nothing unusual happend with the device except that I loaded/unloaded applications.
Thanks for the reply

Many thanks. It solved the problem!:).
It means that Nexus 4 can't "tolerate" screen protectors?

You need one with an opening over the sensor, or you can cut it out yourself - sensor is on the top left corner, you can see it beneath the glass... But I just removed mine and haven't had a problem. 6 months and not a scratch on my screen.

You just need to buy a screen protector from a reliable source. Some of the cheap ones don't have the space where the sensor is cut out so it blocks the phones ability to communicate. You certainly can get another screen protector if you want to. Just buy one that has reviews. Try www.spigen.com
