Hi,

I've been noticing some instability and crashes with my N4. Everything from Chrome to Pulse News to the Gallery app has crashed at least a few times.

Mind you, all these apps have been updated for 4.2 Jellybean or are Google-made, first party apps that are up to date...

Also, I have a Nexus 7 running 4.2 and haven't noticed these kinds of crashes and lockups thus far.

Has anyone else noticed crashes and lockups with their N4s?

Man, hate to hear that. More and more things happening. Hope these are isolated. I haven't really checked out the other forums.

Been texting alot and get an error code 1 so people are not getting my messages. It's worse when that popup occurs asking to allow or deny alot of messages to go through (wonder if that can be turned off).

I've had some of these issues but nothing to serious. Phone still runs very quick. This happened in the gallery for me but only for a second then reopened fine.

It's only Day One, but after 6 hours of use I haven't had any problems.

I'm noticing that if I press the recently opened apps shortcut when there are no recently open apps in there it crashes and gives that popup I listed. :(

Have had N4 for 6 days now and not one of those crashes. (Hope I didn't jinx myself!)

I did root but about the only app I installed that needs it is Hide Bar.

Remember that lots of apps aren't as ready for 4.2 as they should be. Depending on the particular app jumble installed on your device, it is reasonable to expect varying degrees of brokenness along a continuum from phone to phone.

When ever try accessing camera on my Nexus4 it crashes. It says camera not available. Some times it says gallery crashed. There is no way I can access the camera and gallery.
Battery is drying up very quickly. Just half an hour of play back.. Battery is gone to 25%. Battery is very bad. Every thing is going wrong. Planning to return.
Bad phone from a good company like Google.

Are you rocking full/high brightness. Bet you are. Do you have tons of widgets? Do you have programs polling the internet to pull down info like weather apps, RSS readers, mail syncing, etc?

Look into YOUR usage and settings before damning a device so quickly because I can assure you that my Nexus 4 gets a Hell of a lot more battery life than what you're getting. IJS
