As mentioned I stupidly wiped everything on my nexus 4 and now only have Team win recovery project left. No os. I tried to adb push, but it gave me a protocol failure and I saw a solution with fastboot, but I don't seem to have that either.

Thank you very much.

Can you mount the device to your computer from within TWRP?

I'm not quite sure what that means, There is a mount menu in TWRP, what should do from there?

It has 4 options, mount system, unmount data, unmount cache, mount sd card.

Mount sdcard, which is in your case the internal storage since the N4 doesn't have a sdcard.

If you can get that to work you should be able to transfer over a ROM to flash and hopefully get out of this situation.

Re: Need help, no os on N4, only TWRP

hi i have the same problem as the OP.

i have tried the recommendation of RumoredNow but unfortunately at some point in the process, and error message stating that no adb device can be found.

or the phone just goes into a bootloop, either with the google logo or just plain blank face.

when a terminal window opens to push the zip file to the nexus 4, nothing happens also.

TIA

1.download your factory image ( simple googling )
2. go in recovery mode
2.1 connect your phone to pc by usb
2.2 mount your phone in recovery mode /mount ( click enable )
3. open your phone memory on pc and copy image to it
4. install image with install menu in recovery mode
