So my N4 seems to be soft-bricked. Unfortunately there are some ver important files on the hard drive I would like to recover.

Question:
Is there any way to access the hard drive? even if it would mean taking the device apart?

What if any methods have you tried to get it working again?

Was it rooted or stock?

Taking the device apart isn't going to do anything because it doesn't have a "physical harddrive" like your computer or laptop.

First of all thanks for response.

The phone is all stock.
I tried to access recovery/fastboot mode by pressing Power&Volume- while plugging in. The only response I got was a solid red LED for about 10-20 sec and then nothing again.

To be honest I'm slowly accepting the fact that the phone is gone for good, but the data on it is really important!

Have you tried doing a soft reset on the device? Just hold the power button and it should reboot usually after about 10 seconds.

Question : Why were you trying to access the recovery/fastboot mode?

Download wugs nexus root toolkit. It has an easy way to unbrick your phone.
