Nexus 4 sold out in USA.

Re: Nexus 4 Officially Sold Out in USA Now

My phone status has 'Shipping 15 November'. If I don't get it by the end of next week.....I'm going to have to hurt someone.

Re: Nexus 4 Officially Sold Out in USA Now

yeah thought I had one a couple hours ago and baamm disappeared...

Re: Nexus 4 Officially Sold Out in USA Now

The site now says SOLD OUT instead of "Coming Soon" in the USA, looks like they are really out of inventory this time. No point in refreshing anymore today.

I agree, it looks like that are finally sold out this time.

Re: Nexus 4 Officially Sold Out in USA Now

As a kid on Christmas, just wait.
I was expecting to buy it on the weekend, ...believer

Same here. Snagged one at 3:30 eastern and it went live about 11:40 here in North Carolina. Sadly people gave up to soon and went to rant in the forums. I still feel bad for those that missed out.

We the People did not gave up!! Google software gave up!! I'm in Florida an at 11:45 - 8:45 in CA google play store was open ( I was inside the play store since 06:00 my time). After that they had Errors running left and right and the servers just gave up. When you have 5 million shoppers trying to shop for 500 units at the same time....GGGRrrrrrrrr. So, please....just be happy that you were one of the few that got one. Cheers mate!

I tried since 2pm and finally got one at just before 5 here in KY...

And when I say I tried, I mean I had two phones going at same time, hitting refresh as fast as I could. I had it in my cart several times before I finally got it.....16gb.

I'm going to see if Hitler will buy my Galaxy Nexus for $500...or I'll trade for a Panzer tank and a good Wiener schnitzel.

The Hitler rant never ceases to amuse me...:D

Stunning I think Google sells out on purpose, just to make headlines. In 2 weeks The Best Buys, Radio Shacks and 7/11's will have truck loads. N7 revisited.

USA Today headline tomorrow... Googles Nexus 4 Sells out before actually going on sale!!!

I started at 8:40am PST, got to cart 3x before crashing. Tried repeatedly until 2:30, not constantly but at least 200x easy.

And yet here I am with nothing to show for it, except a very faded F5 key.

Well, darn...

I was so looking forward to this, especially since it would be my first Android phone. I'm pretty disappointed how the rollout happened, for the same reasons many others mentioned - nothing but error messages, and the few times I got one in my shopping cart, I got another error message or it would just hang up as I got stuck with the spinning circle of death... It's ironic - the delays over the iPhone 5 peaked my curiosity over Android and pushed me into the camp. Now the N4 is impossible to get and I could get an iP5 much easier. Still, I can give Google some time, I just hope they re-stock fairly soon. Any idea how long it might be?

Down but not out...

Not sure if Google really just wanted the attention (implying they supplied intentionally less) or if they were just over-modest about their popularity... It could be both just fine, and it could be a bit of both just the same.

On the upside, those of us who don't get the glory of being earliest-adopters also won't have to suffer the pains of being earliest-adopters. We get to sit back and see if the performance and battery issues are real, how sturdy the whole phone-made-of-glass thing is, etc., etc. If this phone is as splendiferous as its loudest proponents say it is, then, great - we'll get one in a few weeks. If not, then we can use that information to decide whether to maybe purchase something else. Until then my current phone will get me through the day Just Fine.

(Rationalization? Maybe. But not a bad example of the genre, I think.)

I bought two within a 5 hour window, many people just gave up trying too soon.
Eh. I was one of those, I guess. I was working, and after a series of store errors and unsuccessful attempts to purchase, I did give up. I am disappointed, but on the other hand, this evening I got the 4.2 update on my Galaxy Nexus. Haha, a consolation prize, I guess. The Nexus 4 will be available in the store again, you know. Patience is virtue. Maybe waiting a little bit might be a good thing. Who knows, maybe a Cyber Monday deal? :-D

The thing about purchasing something else is you're not going to find anything that can compare at that price. I'm glad I didn't give up trying, and was able get two midday eastern time.

Maybe Google purposely didnt stock as much to give Tmobile a chance to make $$$ from all the stock they will have starting tomorrow.
