Nexus 4 Volume won't increase.

i have same problem..i dono what to do..i dont even know the cause.. ill have to reset my phone i guess..task killer app didnt help

Yes a reboot will fix the issue. Interesting thought about an app muting the sound.... The only app I use on a semi regular basis with a mute option is Tiny Tower. Thanks for the tips, it gives me a place to start troubleshooting.

Edit: Nope not Tiny Tower. Hmmm Will keep tinkering.

Man, I've been stuck on this for, this single post answered all my problems though as I had just installed this app myself, lol.

An easy way to check before you do a full reset though (as task killers can mess up your phone) is simply to load each app in turn and tap the volume button up, if it's muted via that app this should solve it.

Happened same well on my nexus 4.
Restart the phone helped. I think the most likely culprit is chromecast.

Has anyone else had this issue? No matter what I do I can't get the media volume to increase. With headphones or without. I've muted and unmuted the sound.
