Nexus 5 and Samsung S2 compatibility?

OK. So here I go. I am not sure what is going on but Iove my Nexus 5 and want to stay with the Nexus family. However. I do like the Samsung tablets and I do have an S2. Now for instance it will not communicate using SideSync or anything that I have found. I admit I am novice Android user but want to learn as Windows is boring, and will not go to the fruitful side. Any help would be awesome and look forward to meeting you. And if going up to the 6p will solve all the issues let me know..thx
