Hi. I've received the April update for my N6P last week, but as of today my N5 hasn't received the OTA update. In the past I received the updates within a day or so on both devices. Has anyone received the OTA on their N5? TIA

I received it last week. It wouldn't install-hung on rebooting. After several attempts. I side-loaded the ota zip without issue, though. The update was only about 13 mb. N6p and n5x got them (and installed). N9 didn't receive update so I side-loaded it, also.

Received it on my N7 a couple of days ago, but nothing for N5 yet.

Edit, 21h later: Installing now. :)

This is the one I side loaded. No idea about the difference. It's labeled April 2, 2016 security patch on the phone.

Same here. Battery drain is still horrible when using the phone, although Doze is awesome. So far not noticing any differences or improvements.

I'm using the April 2 release in the xTraFactory rom, and am finding a significant improvement in the battery. The release includes a new bootloader and radio, which also improved my AT&T reception. One last thing, the Android N camera app brings a new interface and improved performance.

So I'm having issues, as usual with my N5. My March patch is Downloaded n ready to go. But it will Not install. I hit reboot & install, and it starts to, then reboots and I get the Android on his back with his guts open saying "Error," every single time. I've wiped the cache partition, done everything short of a factory reset, and still, nothing. Anyone offer any advice??

I got the download three days ago. It downloaded, no problems, Nexus 5 runs great and, although I don't know why and don't necessarily think it has to do with the update, I'm getting better battery life.

I've never had luck flashing an update file on my Nexus 4 (CWM recovery), so call me lazy bones but I just download the factory image when available, remove the "-w" argument from the flash-all.bat file (.sh if on Unix) to NOT erase user data, and let 'er rip in bootloader. I credit Jerry and DefMouse and B.Diddy here for tutoring me in such things. (hats off)

First boot takes a bit longer as apps are updated after boot, but this way I know I have the full factory image update on my device. In fact, you can run the factory flash script on your phone and walk away, it will finish (if no errors) and reboot on its own.

You could put it in a book called The Joy Of NEXus.

Something isn't right ... my battery has improved since the update. Quick question, did you set up your phone as new after you did the reset? If you restored from backed up data, you might have unknowingly reinstalled the issue.

No i did everything anew.i didn't back up anything except my Google account because i would't create another account.
