Nexus 5 keeps changing wallpaper 4.4.2?

Whenever i turn off my phone and turn it back on my nexus 5 wallpaper changes. It is never the same wallpaper after i turn it back on idk why. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It sounds like you have daydream on with your gallery or wallpaper? Or you have gallery on to play slideshow. Just turn them both off.

I have DAYDREAM on for CLOCK. So how do I get this too stop changing on me?

Are you running the stock launcher? Some custom launchers may have this functionality. Also, there are apps that can do this, like this one https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...id=de.j4velin.wallpaperChanger&token=gUQTcW63 You're positive you haven't installed anything of this sort?

I am not sure that there is anything in stock Android 4.4.2 which will let you randomly change wallpaper at each power off/on cycle.

You might also have downloaded a Live wallpaper at some point. Go to Settings -> Display -> Wallpaper and choose something from any of the choices other than the Live wallpapers group.

I currently ONLY have 2 wallpapers downloaded from ZEDGE and they're both not LIVE wallpapers. So IDK how to fix this myself.

I'm changing wallpapers with each off/on cycle, too. I cut daydream off and it had no effect........still changed wallpapers. Is there a switch that enables slideshow perpetually other than the one for wallpapers in the gallery? I guess that's the next step?

You might have nailed it. I uninstalled Zedge, ran the off/on cycle twice, and did not have any wallpaper changes. Thanks.

If it is, there isn't a way to stop it though. I looked in there settings and nothing to check or uncheck on this type of issue...

Yep......I checked, too. I'll probably leave Zedge uninstalled until they fix the problem.......if that IS the problem. LOL. Thanks.

I use Zedge a lot for stuff so I will just suffer until the problem is fixed lmao.

This morning I noticed that twice on my Nexus 7, and I thought how strange but was too busy to check why. LOL Funny thing though. I guess i get rid of zedge I don?t change my wallpaper often.

Hey I discovered this happening as well on my Note 3 after getting 4.4.2. I did as a earlier post said turn off Daydream. Kept my wallpaper as I wanted it!! tested after 5 reboots still there where it previously changed every reboot!!! Now wondering if it comes back if I turn Daydream back on.....

zedge is an stock app? Because I have no launcher, and I have this same issue
