Nexus 5 microphone issue?

Exactly as you stated. Seems to be in accordance with the last software update. All apps that use or can recognize voice commands just act as if they can't register any mic input. Phone calls cannot be heard on either end unless switching to hands free.
I would roll it back if I could. Seems super lame and incredibly annoying. Right now it's tolerable, but as stated by others, using the phone in hands free mode is not an ideal solution much of the time.
Can someone from Nexus please address this? I am NOT going to do a factory reset for something that is obviously a problem with delivered software updates.
Thanks.

Something you might want to try is disabling bluetooth. It acts like it would if it was connected to a bluetooth headset, even if it isn't. I thought maybe it was connecting to my car in the garage, which is off but charging. I think there have been times this happened when I wasn't near anything, though. Either way, after disabling bluetooth I haven't had the issue lately. It's back to enabled and if I get the quirks again I'll try disabling it and seeing if that helps.

Hey guys, I just got my nexus 5 yesterday. Everything is fantastic besides one thing, the most important thing, making phone calls. When I'm talking on the phone others tell me they cannot hear me. This is odd as I know the nexus 5 is supposed to have a decent mic. Has anyone else had this issue? I even tried to looking for the mic because I thought something was blocking it. I'm guessing the microphone is inside the right speaker grill. Am I wrong.? Can anyone help me with this please? Thank you. Is anyone having the same issue?
