So I see the Nexus 5 is coming to Sprint. Which phone is better. I always see people raving about Nexus as well as Samsung S4. Which one would you go with?:)

Also depends if you like Touchwiz and some of the Samsung Bloa..... I mean Software, i personally hate Touchwiz and most of the things like air view and the eye tracking stuff are gimmicks, i ended up turning them all off for better battery life and then ended up flashing a GPE Rom, i honestly dont see the point in buying an S4 GPE or a regular S4 unless you like Samsungs skin, each to there own

I do like the screen staying on without asking me to touch it every 15 second or so.

I also like Samsung's video and music player, the quick access of large number of controls in touch wiz.

Hardware wise, it's nice to have removable battery and amoled screen.

For the screen you just change the timeout in settings, im just not a lover of Touchwiz, it maybe 4.2.2 or 4.3 but it looks just like Gingerbread still

I can understand your feeling towards touch wiz, it is likely not be the most elegant ui out there, but it dose offer much more convenient functions.

just personal preference more than anything... I had the original N1 and loved it... Switched to the original HTC EVO 4G and then upgraded to the GS3... I didn't see the GS4 as that much of an upgrade from the GS3 (which I have rooted anyway) so I stayed on the GS3 and will switch to the N5 once it comes in.... Most of the new features for both (or pretty much all phones/tech) are gimmicks that won't have a lot of real world use... or at least not every day real world use... the always listening function will be neat to show off to iPhone family members or co-workers but I can't really see me speaking out loud to my phone often unless it's in private.. Kind of feel weird saying "OKAY GOOGLE" while at my desk or out to eat somewhere.... In my car or in my house alone.. Yeah fine...

I've enjoyed Sprint service though... I switched to T-Mobile and then AT&T with my original N1 and service on T-Mobile (at the time) was horrible and AT&T was spotty where I live, work and play... Sprint is pretty solid everywhere I go so I am glad the play store version can be activated on Sprint (I just to take a leap of faith yesterday to make sure I got one) but my personal preference is pure Android directly from Google....

If you want/need a removable battery and microSD, get the GS4. If not, save money and get the N5.

If I'd only needed one phone since August, I'd have gladly gotten a GS4 for the reasons above. But the N5 is at an extremely good price for a high level device. :D

I have an S4 and ordered a N5, believe me stock android is much better overall. Touchwiz is just to heavy

I have note 3, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, I cannot agree with your assessment. :)

Yea, at this point no phone is head and shoulders above the rest, its really about picking what caters to your lifestyle. Over the years of trying all the flagships out, ive come to understand that I enjoy stock android more than any skin and added features, so I go nexus (or Moto X).

S4, the N4 doesn't have the IR remote control...The best is going to the bars and messing with the TV's

Don't ever go backwards.

It's either Nexus 5 or you wait for GS5.

No GS4 -- that's old school now.

Personally...Nexus 5. Vanilla Android is that good. And it has an OIS Camera. Better updates.

S4 if storage is an issue (S4 maxes at 128 gigs I think) or battery life (removable batteries are so awesome...I still miss that). I would get the Google S4 though if at all possible. S4 is a great phone. But I despise touchwiz with a passion.

Nexus 5. Touchwiz reminds me of gingerbread too much, stock android looks so much nicer

Also, if you can get a GE GS4, or if you can root your carrier's gs4, there's more privacy since there's less need to use a cloud service. I wonder if that's partly why the Nexus phones force you to back up to a cloud? They do work without resistance with the NSA. Of course I'm kinda tired at the moment, so my paranoia is slightly sharper.

Im in a different situation in comparison to you. I have an S4 which I could sell and then purchase a 32gb nexus 5 and still make money.

Im just waiting for a decent review to convince me the Camera/Battery are not that much worse compared to the S4. The biggest thing I would miss on the S4 is the Camera but I have high hopes for the Nexus 5.
