Could be the battery indicator decided to go crazy. Did you try restarting? I know my S2 was reporting the wrong battery life all of the time before I got my N5. The whole device would freeze up and restart. Upon restart it would always show 14% or less when before the reboot I could have had 90%. Usually a restart fixed it.

Yeah, no, it was 0 when I started up.. I had to plug it in just to be able to start the phone.

Sounds like a defective battery.

I hope not, first time it happened to me and i've had the phone a month now.

Keep an eye on it. Could have just been a rouge app but if it happens again I would contact Google to get a replacement sent. Or is it only 15 days that they'll send a replacement and after that you need to mess with LG?

Top 2 battery drainers were "screen" and "google services"...weird. I'll keep an eye on this.

How much was your screen on time?
Google play services does occasionally go berserk and drains the battery - but again, nothing like the drain that you showed - down to 0% that quickly. ugh

I would have to go through my carrier as I got the phone on contract for 2 years. I'll definitely keep an eye on this.

You would still have the manufacturer's warranty. Let us know how things go.

Hey all, I bought the Nexus 5 two fridays ago and I've had absolutely no complaints up til now. My screen has taken a permanent heavy reddish tinge and I don't know how to fix it. I've had no problems with the screen before, it just randomly got this tinge an hour ago. Could this be a hardware issue? I use the app lux lite, which reduces brightness to help with eye strain at night, could that have somehow caused the problem? =/ thanks in advance for any help!

simple answer. uninstall the app and restart and see if problem persists. :/ goodluck

I don't think it was the result of a software conflict because it began when I had practically no 3rd party apps on. And it's still happening intermittently.

Haven't gotten update yet. Have had wifi issues and resolved in same manner you did. Hope not another maddening round of trying to make such a key feature as wifi work through workarounds.
If the problem persists, I will leave Nexus 5 behind in a hurry despite my fondness for this phone. All the pluses don't overcome that massive negative. Google needs to fix the glitch!

The only issue I've noticed is the headphone volume, but I fixed that pretty quickly with fauxsound. All of the other problems were fixed with 4.4.2

Well my OTA finally went through, but no my power button isn't turning my screen off. It works, it just won't turnoff the screen with one press

Update. I went Dev options and checked then unchecked "stay awake" and now it works talk about weird

*sigh* I'm now on my 3rd N5.

First one had dead pixels, second had the charging port break, third better be perfect when it arrives.
