Yeah that's what I'm debating. The iPhone is definitely more blue, but I think it's closer to realistic colors overall. The Moto x is blown out because of amoled, but is a nice package.

Actually, probably all the nexi have a warm cast, so maybe they'll release an update to fix it. I never really noticed it before but it does look warm especially with the brightness turned way down. It doesn't bother me though. If I had the brightness higher I think it would be unnoticeable.

So I just got my replacement today, and it's still got a bit of a yellow tint. It is better than the defective one, but not by a lot. Attached are pictures of the two Nexii, plus a comparison with an iPhone 5s and Moto X. The Nexus screens are both significantly more yellow than either the iPhone or Moto x. Not sure at this point if I'm going to keep it.

It a common problem with the Nexus 5 and the latest models being shipped. If you wanted you could get Franco's kernel installed. Not only did it fix the warmer color but it has given me more than double the battery life I was getting stock.

I am having this issue as well. The location never updates quick enough with my navigation and it is extremely annoying and inconvenient.

I curious what you and the other guys(nexus89) batch number is.The first three Numbers in your serial number. It will be 310, 311, or 312. 310 is the first batch released. Mine is 311 and i dont have the phone not ringing issues or GPS issues.

It a common problem with the Nexus 5 and the latest models being shipped. If you wanted you could get Franco's kernel installed. Not only did it fix the warmer color but it has given me more than double the battery life I was getting stock.

:/ Not really comfortable flashing kernels. I also have a Mac so everything is a little more difficult. Still debating what to do.

I know it sounds risky and difficult but it is well worth it. But I understand if it's not worth it to you. You can always have Google send you another one.

I think it's my laptop screen throwing me. I have one of the MacBooks with a retina display, and I usually notice the yellow most after using it. Grabbed the nexus out of my pocket after not using my laptop for a while, and the screen looked just fine.

Here's my Nexus5 problem. I can't find a store or a place where i can actually hold one in my hand. I don't know anyone in my area that actually owns one. I will not buy a "pig in a poke", as they say, until i get to see how it feels, and what it can do. Now, i've been trying to find somewhere in SW Fla., where i can get to see one, since the beginning of Dec., with no luck. Very frustrating, to say the least. The phone looks great in pictures, but if i can't hold it in my hand, i'm not buying it.:'(
P.S. I've tried all the major carriers, hoping to get a look at "their version" of the N5, but no luck.

Not the ones anywhere near me. Sprint & BestBuy said that they could order one for me, but they don't stock them because of low interest. I don't want to get locked up over staring at people's smart phones.

So disappointed in Google I had my phone for 2 weeks and I found my screen cracked they really messed up with this phone while the software and processors are great the hardware is so shady that's not usable. What use is a phone that after paying $400 you'll have to pay another $200 a month to constantly replace the screen?
I hope Google will wake up and stand behind their products before they sustain lasting damage

How did it crack? I would guess few have experienced that issue. Most who do have dropped the device, I would guess. Sorry about your screen.

Couldn't you get them to replace it? They do it for free.

The glass isn't really bad its gorilla glass 3 so it is durable but with any and all smartphone glass it has its limits before it cracks

Yes, and I was amazed by the Cruzerlite drop test video. I thought for sure it would shatter but it survived each drop in the cases.

My screen broke on my Nexus 5. Mailed it off on December 20th with 2 day shipping. Lg received it on December 26th they processed it on the 27th and I'm still waiting for them to contact me with a price so I can give the go ahead to fix it and have them mail my phone back sometime next year. The Holiday's are not a good time to break your phone.
