Hi all,

I just got a Nexus 4 and am absolutely loving it. Coming from an S4, I am happy to say I experience no lag and my appreciate the responsiveness of my phone. I was reviewing specs for the Nexus 5 today and noticed it was apparently coming out with a 5.2 inch screen.

I am perfectly happy with the 4.7 inch screen I have on my Nexus 4 and while I will be looking at the 5 when it comes out because I am a tech geek and like to have and play with the latest technology I am wondering if some will simply stay with their awesome Nexus 4 phones rather than go to the Nexus 5 with the increase in screen size.

Thoughts? Are you going to go to the Nexus 5 if it is 5.2 or stay with what you have?

Still remains to be seen what the specs are on the next Nexus. It could be a 5 " plus or it could end up being a little less.

TBH I'm happy in the 4.5 " to 5 " range on displays and still remaining a comfortable one hand use device.

Could you post the specs of the Nexus 5 so we could all look at them.....

I haven't seen any leaked N5 specs either.

edit. just googled it, it's just a render from twitter that's spreading around the last couple days, but I don't know how credible it is:

An alleged photo of the Google Nexus 5 is spreading like wildfire on the Internet teasing many Nexus fans.

The photo caught the attention of many smartphone users due to its futuristic design. The handset sports sharp corners and rounded sides. Thus, the device is almost oblong in shape.

The Google Nexus 5 features that came along in the new found render include 5.2 inches full HD screen display; quad core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz; 3GB RAM; 16MP rear camera with OmniVision sensor and 2.1MP front camera; and 3300 mAh battery

Nothing from any of the mainstream android websites.

There is nothing official out yet just read a few articles today speculating screen size of 5.2

If the Nexus5 has 4G LTE, and a screen size of 5" or less, i'm down for it absolutely. Only got the SGSIII, because my AT&T area has super fast 4G LTE.:p

I'm fine with the nexus 4 the way it is. I would just like a bigger battery & LTE as an option. Probably wouldn't use the LTE.

Wow... That is definitely not the next Nexus. There are so many things wrong with that render. That's why the reputable Android blogs haven't reported on it.

The current screen size is perfectly fine, imo. Anything too much larger and you are approaching tablet territory which the Nexus 7 and 10 handle quite nicely.

Whether leaked or not (not) the size of a 5+ plus display for future phones is a reasonable topic. Anyways, isn't there an LG phone released (or soon to be) that has 5+ display that any supposed forthcoming Nexus 5 could reasonably expected to be based on?

I've played around with an S4 and I definitely prefer the larger size of an S4 to my N4. The 5.5 smart phones out there are a bit much for my taste, but I think it is inevitable that the premium handsets are going to settle in at about 5. So long as OEMs can make a thin device I think 5.2 would be a great size for a display. I'm happy with my N4 and not planning to jump to a N5 if released, but a bigger display is one reason that might tempt me.

Hey guys, don't get me wrong. I rooted my SGSIII, and it's very fast. That being said, i really want the "pure vanilla" experience of the Nexus. :)

Everything is a rumor at this point. Seeing that google owns motorolla and it looks like the x phone will be about 4.5" I would expect the nexus to be similar, 4.7" with 4.5" of actual screen real estate same as the n4

I think a 5" screen size is about perfect. I really like the extra real estate of my Galaxy S4, but keep coming back to the Nexus 4 because I've acquired a taste for pure vanilla. ;)

Well I'm hoping the next Nexus will be based on the LG G2. Meaning 5.2 inch screen.

I'm not even thinking about the Nexus 5. The Moto X still intrigues me. Either way, after living with the N4 and loving it, I would just love a Nexus with a great camera and LTE. T-Mobile didn't have LTE at the time so I didn't mind but now that it does and T-Mobile is pretty good in Baltimore, I'd like to either get the Moto X or the N5 I suppose. I'm still considering the HTC one too. Such a beautiful phone.

I went from the N4 to the S4 to the ONE. They are all great devices but my favorite is probably still the N4. I love the one now that I've fully converted it to the Google play edition and the only thing that might peak my interest is the N5 depending on specs. I think that the N5 will probably stay with the 4.7 inch display since the Galaxy Nexus and N4 both had 4.7. The moto x looks nice but spec wise it is a downgrade from the one and aside from LTE seems to be a lateral move from the N4.

Well for me 4.7" are really handy on the nexus 4. I could be interested on a N5 depending on the specs, and a really important could be a 32gb model, or adding a microSD slot.

I think it is a 50/50 shot that it will be either a 4.7" or 5". I am leaning towards 5" but you never know!
