Been looking online for a direct comparison between the N5 and the N5x speakers. Can't find any examples.
Can anyone tell me if the 5x speaker is better, and if so then how much better, than the n5.

I have the N5 and the only thing I don't like is the speaker for listening to podcasts and speakerphone use. I'd definitely upgrade if the n5x speaker is that much better but most reviews seem to say it's still a poor speaker. Not in the market for the 6p, too big, even though the speakers on that are evidently one of the best around.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have the Nexus 5, but the single speaker on my N5X is plenty loud for listening to podcasts and speakerphone calls. I actually think the speaker is about the same as the one on my Moto X 2014. The biggest plus of the speaker on the N5X is the fact that it is front facing. No more cupping your hand to hear like on the Nexus 5.

Im also coming from a Nexus 5 (now broken) and would like to know this as well. The speaker on the Original Nexus 5 was poor and one of my biggest complaints, right behing battery life. Would love to hear some feedback from those who have both.

Speaker on the nexus 5x is no where near the quality of the Moto X 2014. Not nearly as loud, no bass, super tinny. Only similarity is that they're both front facing.
