Nexus 5 with VoLTE and Verizon

So, as has been relatively big news lately, Verizon will be rolling out the beginnings of the switch from CDMA to VoLTE. Now, I've always wanted a Nexus 5, but Verizon's service is too reliable to switch to another carrier in my area. After the switch to VoLTE, will I be able to use a Nexus 5 on Verizon?

To my knowledge no. The IMEI has to be approved and in their database to work.
