Nexus 5 won't get N, but how long will it get 6.x sec updates?

i'm definitly not updating... don't care about security... only a working phone is what i care about
i've never heard of anyone that got into trouble because of those 'security risks'

I always update my phones and they never break or mess up. Same with my computers. Also you should care about security. It is important in today's world. It's better to be safe than sorry.

i get that, but still, i only know people who messed up devices by updating yet i don't know anyone who had a security issue... do you know anyone?

I've always updated every device and they have never messed up on me. People may not say their security issues and when they do have one, they probably don't think it's because they didn't update. If a device was to mess up because of an update which is very rare, I would contact the company and they would have to fix it.
