My nexus 5 which is about 3 months old is getting overheated while charging .A battery saver which i installed is showing a temperature of 40°C ! Is that a problem with the phone or the charging circuit ? I charge my phone from a multiple socket device ...around 4,5 gadgets will always be charging from the sockets , so is there any problem with the supply?

40°C is not much above body temperature....certainly not what I would call hot. All my phones get warm when charging and I take it to be normal.
