I'm not sure what you all are referring to. Are you talking about using Google voice mail with your Google Voice number (when forwarded to your cell phone)?
Rather than using the carrier voicemail, which is clunky on the new Nexus devices on Verizon, you can use Google Voice as your voicemail handler. As noted with screenshot by scottysize, there is a way to forward your Verizon phone to the Google Voice account strictly for voicemail when you don't answer your phone. When I was still on Verizon with my Nexus 6P, it still didn't work GREAT but you get transcripted voicemails at least, and they show up in the dialer in the voicemail section.
You can then manage your voicemails online, as well as greetings.
Ya but the transcription leaves a lot to be desired the last time I used it. LOL
Is there something I'm missing? I have the messages showing up in the dialer properly, but when I delete the message from the dialer it doesn't actually delete from Google Voice and I also don't get the transcriptions in the dialer. They do show in the Voice app just fine.Rather than using the carrier voicemail, which is clunky on the new Nexus devices on Verizon, you can use Google Voice as your voicemail handler.
