Nexus 5x: any equalizer not working

Any idea? Got Marshmallow 6.0.1 and any equalizer App is not working on Nexus 5x.

Moto G and Moto e. . Neither can get equalizer to work in any app. . Mm audio effects is impotent, if it works at all, no better than placebo effects. . Really should rename it so. . Plus, indigenous equalizer in radio streamer, and some other programs, broke on mm upgrade.

Naturally, eq should work over bt, earbuds, and built in speaker. . Even audio effects is not working, I can see at a glance that there is not nearly enough sound control or enhancement in audio effects to overcome the huge variation of sound between a wide quality array of ear buds, to earphones, to external speakers, to environments. . Also, disabling ae and installing any market equalizer offers zero control of the sound. . So far, only xiaalive and jet audio, with built-in proprietary scheme work. Where other applications with less proprietary built-in equalizer, do not work.
