Nexus 5X cannot restart after screen freeze

I was surfing the net on my Nexus 5X when the screen just froze. All the buttons did not work and I couldn't navigate back. The phone then went black. Attempts to restart has failed. I have tried pressing the power button-10, 20 and 30 seconds but no response. Tried pressing both the power button & the Volume down and still no response. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Plug the phone into a wall outlet and let it charge overnight, undisturbed. Then try powering on by pressing and holding Power for 15-20 seconds again.

If it doesn't work, then the battery or motherboard might have failed. Is it still under warranty?
