Question for the OP, and I apologize if this has been previously asked and answered but I didn't see it in a cursory scan of the thread...
Were you by chance using your phone in a case that had any type of magnet to activate sleep mode? A number of people have reported issues with such in that their device would periodically wake the screen with no provocation, and this led to substantially expedited battery depletion.
Not sure I believe stats from a screen shot with a pink screen.
I completely agree that there isn't a better phone hardware-wise than an iPhone. That phone is so solid and just feels like you're carrying a piece of art. I used one for over a week and it definitely had that feel. That being said, the software to me is lacking. It's the same OS, aside from actionable notifications, as it was 3 years ago. There's just no way to customize it. The software just really bored me and let me down. There was no way for me to make the phone mine other than arranging the sea of apps my way and having a wallpaper. If you could put stock Android on that phone, I'd be all over it. It's currently up for sale on Swappa and I'm waiting on a Note 4 from AT&T. I know the hardware isn't quite as premium, but the software, to me at least, gives SO much more than iOS. I am heavily invested in Google, which does play a small part in my decision, too.I have a Nexus 7, soon to be upgraded to a Nexus 9. I think the 6 Plus would compliment that very nicely.
From a hardware point of view there is no better option than an iPhone in my opinion. From a software point of view though, that's a different matter. Thanks for your input, much appreciated.

Don't forget you can jailbreak an iPhone which opens up a TON of customization. ...up to 8.1.2 anyways. The Dark artists are working on bending 8.1.3 to their will. Its also true that jailbreaking an iPhone is typically a lot easier than rooting an android phone.I completely agree that there isn't a better phone hardware-wise than an iPhone. They're beautiful devices...IMO. ...and they don't bend so easy.

Not me. Why would anyone do such a thing to a such a nice device. Blasphemy.Had anyone here ever actually seen a bent iPhone though other than on You Tube?

Right. But I don't root or jailbreak. I'm just talking about what you can do right out of the box. And that's where I felt that iOS was lacking for me. If I didn't have the option to use Android, I could live with it. But with great Android devices out there, the 6 Plus was definitely lacking in the software department.Don't forget you can jailbreak an iPhone which opens up a TON of customization. ...up to 8.1.2 anyways. ...just something to keep in mind.
That said I'm just not sure how the Note 4/Edge could be more premium. They're beautiful devices...IMO. ...and they don't bend so easy.

That's all I could think about. Even simple stuff like turning vibrate off for an alarm or setting a specific volume for an alarm. I hate that the alarm is strictly tied into system volume and vibrate. That makes absolutely ZERO sense to me. Great phone otherwise. Just not for me.You are so right. Whenever I use my 6+ I can't help but dwell on all that my Android phones can do that it cannot. When the Dark Artists create a jailbreak for 8.1.3 I'm on it like flies on poo.

I dunno, I feel that the iPhone is elegant, but too delicate. It isn't one I'd want in my hand all day. Too skinny, edges too sharp. Same thing with the Note. Once I held the N, everything else has seemed as elegant as a cardboard box. Except the Droid Turbo. That one, even though it's curved a bit like the N felt like a weird, heavy blob.iPhone. That phone is so solid and just feels like you're carrying a piece of art.

The Nexus 6 back isn't made out of plastic. It's made from very high quality polycarbonate.
