Right now it does appear Ambient Display is calibrated for when the phone is lying flat. It never works if it's in the TYLT, and it never works if I'm holding the phone. The Moto X/Droid Maxx implementation is far more sensitive and knows to wake up when the phone has been moved.Yeah, exactly. It's a consistency issue for me. Ironically, I had a notification pop up as expected after I posted this, but then another came a few minutes later and didn't (and the phone hadn't moved--it was on the TYLT the whole time). I'm thinking about perhaps trying out ACDisplay, at least until they work out whatever kinks there seem to be here.
Perhaps the Ambient Display and other Lollipop problems should have their own thread. I know there's a Lollipop 5.0 forum, but I like keeping problems specific to the N6 on this forum. Most complaints seem to be about lollipop rather than the phone itself. Besides the asinine volume fiasco, I hate not being able to customize the lock screen. I want my OWN widgets on there.
Found some other threads in specific device forums but no general Lollipop 5 forum.Perhaps the Ambient Display and other Lollipop problems should have their own thread. I know there's a Lollipop 5.0 forum, but I like keeping problems specific to the N6 on this forum.
I have noticed that my phone's time always shows about a minute slower than everyone else's phone. No matter the carrier. I have the network time enabled but it still seems to be a minute behind. Anyone else notice this?
Here is hardware thing that is making me wonder if I damaged my 1 day old phone already. Has anyone noticed the little chip on the cameras plastic flash ring cover??? Was this thing by design? Has anyone else noticed it? It really bugging me now.
Does anyone's sound seem to fade in and out?

I noticed it too, I think it's by design. I thought it was a flaw at first until I really looked at it close.
My only complaint ( though I knew this going into it) is that I really miss the pulse of my moto x ambient display
I am not sure if I'm doing it wrong or not but my phone is almost always face up, when I pick up the phone I have to press the power button to see the notifications
I really hope they can update that to be better or similar to how it works on moto x

My phone is laying flat. Not charging. Doesn't work consistently. Agree... the whole thing needs to be recalibrated. My phone is laying flat. Not charging. Doesn't work consistently. Most of the time, I have to find the power button.
