Nexus 6 or Moto X(2014) Pure Edition?

Are you sure the IMX135 in the MotoX is older than the IMX214 in the Nexus6? According to Wikipedia, Sony considers the IMX135 technology more advanced (it's "stacked" Exmor RS tech): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exmor

It looks like that Wikipedia entry is incomplete and possibly inaccurate. I'm pretty sure the IMX135 is from 2013 and the IMX 214 was released this year. That being said, newer doesn't necessarily mean better, but the 214 uses stacked technology as well:

Interesting, yes it says Exmor RS right on that Sony page you linked to. Maybe I need to go with the Xperia Z3 after all to get the biggest and baddest sensor! ;-)

The moto features are awesome! Has anybody seen whether the Nexus 6 has a better camera than the Moto X 2014? I haven't seen any comparisons come out yet.

if you are on tmobile, then the nexus 6 will also give you wifi calling, which is a must have for some people.

I'm torn between these two options. What would you pick and why?

Nexus 6. Better device for almost the same amount of money as the Moto X pure edition. Unless you prefer the smaller size and like Moto's software editions that is. Either way you can't go wrong. They both seem like great phones.
